Accessibility
How we make the shop usable for everyone, and where it still falls short.
We want everyone to be able to browse and buy from HUEVORI. This website aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
What we have done
- Text and interface colours are checked for contrast (at least 4.5:1 for body text).
- Every page can be used with a keyboard; focus is always visible, and there is a “Skip to content” link.
- Images have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Animation and video stop when your device is set to reduce motion, and the home-page film has a pause button; the colour fan stops cycling.
- Pages work when zoomed to 200% and on small screens.
- Forms have visible labels and clear error messages.
Known limitations
- The colour fan on the home page changes the page colour when you point at or select a brush. It works with the keyboard (Tab to the fan, then the arrow keys) and by touch, and every brush in it also has its own product page. Colour is never the only way information is given: each hue also has a written name and number (for example H07 Marigold).
- Brush-head silhouettes in the shop filter are drawings; each one also has a text label.
