Enough to rotate: use one, wash it, let it dry fully and use the next. The colours make it easy to remember which one you washed last.
Sponges are made from latex-free polyurethane foam. Wash after each use with mild soap, squeeze out water and let them air-dry. Replace them every one to three months, or sooner if the surface tears.
